Impact sensor is used to detect rash driving as well as
impacts by the operator.
IMPACT SENSOR
The impact sensor detects jerks. Jerk is the rate at which an object’s acceleration changes with respect to
time. Jerk gives us a change in force value and is an important parameter to identify high acceleration,
sudden braking, or impact events.

MOUNT THE IMPACT SENSOR ON MHE
We recommend the sensor be mounted close
to the location of potential impact like a fork in
the forklift on a rigid location.

about the driving behaviour and impacts, multiple sensors can be connected.

CONFIGURE THE THRESHOLD
The threshold value can be updated to suit the
machine using a smartphone app.
Configuration
Depending on the machine and mounting
location a parameter has to be configured to
detect high jerk events and separate them
from jerks that happen during normal machine
operations.
